Billing Terms & Conditions – PlainMood

These Billing Terms & Conditions (“Billing Terms”) explain how payments, billing, pricing, taxes, and charges work when you shop on PlainMood (“Company”, “we”, “our”, “us”).

By placing an order on www.plainmood.com, you agree to these Billing Terms along with our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.

These terms are governed by and comply with:

  • Consumer Protection Act, 2019

  • Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020

  • Information Technology Act, 2000

  • Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP Act), 2023

  • PCI-DSS payment standards

  • RBI guidelines for online payments


1. Pricing & Currency

  • All prices on PlainMood are displayed in Indian Rupees (INR).

  • Prices may be inclusive or exclusive of GST, as clearly shown on the product or checkout page.

  • Prices are subject to change without prior notice.

  • Prices during sales, promotions, or special events may vary.

  • The price displayed at checkout is the final price payable at the time of purchase.


2. Accepted Payment Methods

PlainMood accepts payments through secure and trusted channels, including:

Online Payments

  • UPI (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM, etc.)

  • Credit Cards (Visa, MasterCard, RuPay)

  • Debit Cards

  • Net Banking

  • Wallets (where applicable)

Cash on Delivery (COD)

  • COD availability depends on location, order value, and courier serviceability

  • A COD handling fee may apply

  • COD availability may be enabled or disabled at our discretion

All online transactions are processed through PCI-DSS compliant payment gateways.


3. Payment Security & Data Protection

PlainMood does not store:

  • Full card details

  • CVV numbers

  • ATM PINs

  • UPI PINs

All payments are securely encrypted and processed by certified payment gateways that comply with:

  • PCI-DSS Level 1 standards

  • RBI regulations for online transactions

  • Tokenisation norms for saved cards

Customer data is protected under the DPDP Act, 2023, IT Act, 2000, and applicable data protection rules.


4. Order Confirmation & Billing Verification

An order is considered confirmed only when:

  • Payment is successfully completed, and

  • You receive an order confirmation via email or SMS

We may contact you for additional verification in cases of:

  • Address confirmation

  • Payment validation

  • High-risk or suspicious transactions

If verification fails, we reserve the right to cancel the order for security reasons.


5. Failed or Pending Transactions

If your payment is deducted but the order is not confirmed:

  • The issue is usually due to bank or network delays

  • The deducted amount is automatically reversed by the payment gateway within 5–7 working days

If the refund is not received within this period, please contact your bank or reach out to our support team.

PlainMood is not responsible for delays caused by banks or payment providers.


6. GST Invoices

We issue GST-compliant invoices for all orders.

Each invoice includes:

  • Itemised product pricing

  • Applicable GST

  • Payment method

  • Invoice details

If you require a business invoice with GST input credit:

  • Please enter your valid GSTIN at checkout

  • GSTIN details cannot be changed after invoice generation


7. COD Billing Terms

For COD orders:

  • COD handling fees (if applicable) are non-refundable

  • Payment must be made at delivery

  • Tampered or damaged packages must be refused at the time of delivery

  • Repeated COD refusals may result in COD being disabled for your account


8. Payment Errors & Disputes

If you experience:

  • Double payment

  • Incorrect charge

  • Duplicate deductions

Please contact us immediately.
We will verify the issue with the payment gateway and process any valid refund within 5–10 working days, subject to bank timelines.


9. Promo Codes, Discounts & Store Credits

  • Only one promo code may be applied per order

  • Promo codes cannot be exchanged for cash

  • Expired or invalid coupons are not eligible for refund

  • Store credits (if issued) are non-transferable and non-refundable

  • PlainMood reserves the right to modify or discontinue any offer without prior notice


10. Billing Information Accuracy

You agree to provide:

  • Accurate billing address

  • Correct contact details

  • Valid payment information

Incorrect or incomplete details may lead to:

  • Order delays

  • Order cancellation

  • Additional delivery charges

Repeated misuse may result in account restrictions.


11. Fraud Prevention

To ensure a secure shopping environment, we reserve the right to:

  • Screen and verify orders

  • Cancel suspicious transactions

  • Restrict or block fraudulent accounts

Fraudulent activity includes but is not limited to:

  • Unauthorised card use

  • Fake or incomplete addresses

  • Chargeback abuse

  • Repeated COD refusals

Legal action may be taken in severe cases.


12. Refund Processing Timelines

Refunds (if applicable) are processed as per the following timelines:

UPI 1–3 working days
Wallets Instant / within 24 hours
Credit / Debit Cards 5–7 working days
Net Banking 5–7 working days
COD Bank / UPI transfer (2–5 working days)

Bank processing delays, if any, are beyond our control.


13. Billing Errors

If you notice any billing discrepancy:

  • Please contact us within 48 hours of receiving your invoice

  • We will review and correct any genuine errors promptly


14. Modification of Billing Terms

PlainMood reserves the right to update, modify, or replace any part of these Billing Terms at any time.
Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on the website.
